Jump to RecipeStep 1: Freeze Reese’s
Place the Reese’s Miniature Cups in the freezer for at least two hours to ensure that they are solid. I left mine in the freezer overnight because I knew I was going to make these the next morning.
If you can’t find the miniatures, you can just half the regular-sized cups.
Step 2: Preheat Oven
To start the baking process, preheat the oven to 350°.
Step 3: Start with Cake Mix
Then, add in a chocolate cake mix. Any brand will work for these cupcakes.
Step 4: Add Water
Next, add a cup of water.
Step 5: Add Vanilla Greek Yogurt
Then, add a cup of vanilla Greek yogurt.
Step 6: Add Egg
Next, add an egg to the mixing bowl.
Step 7: Mix
Then, mix all the ingredients together. You can use a wooden spoon for the process.
Step 8: Fill Cupcakes Liners
Then, fill the cupcakes with a scoop and a half of the batter. This way, once you put the Reese’s Cups into the cupcakes, you will have enough batter to cover them.
You should be able to make 18 cupcakes with this recipe.
Normally, I spray my cupcake liners, but I purchased these instead. They are basically parchment paper in cupcake liner forms. There’s no need to spray the liners because the cupcakes will easily come right out.
Step 9: Add Reese’s Cup to Cupcakes & Cover
Then, put a frozen Reese’s Cups into each of the cupcakes. Once you place the cups, cover them over with the batter.
Step 10: Bake
Next, place the cupcakes in the oven for 18 minutes.
Step 11: Mix Icing & Peanut Butter
While the cupcakes are baking, you can prepare the icing. Just mix a container of chocolate frosting with a half cup of peanut butter.
Step 12: Cool & Ice
Once the cupcakes are finished, let them cool and then frost them.
Step 13: Add Reese’s Pieces
For a sweet finish, add some Reese’s Pieces to each cupcake.
