Easy Pumpkin Hummus

To start, drain the chickpeas and heat them over medium heat for about ten to fifteen minutes. Be sure to stir these peas so that they don’t burn.
Step 2: Add the Cooked Chick Peas
Then, add the cooked chickpeas to the food processor.
Step 3: Add the Pumpkin
Then, add in an entire container of pumpkin. I used the Libby’s brand, but any brand would do.
Step 4: Add the Garlic
Then, add two tablespoons of garlic powder to the mix.
Step 5: Add the Cumin
Next, add a tablespoon of cumin into the food processor.
Step 6: Add the Salt
Then, add in a half teaspoon of sea salt.
Step 7: Add the Olive Oil
Add in one tablespoon of olive oil.
Step 8: Add the Honey
Lastly, add two tablespoons of honey.
Step 9: Mix the Hummus
Then, mix the hummus into a creamy dip consistency.
Step 10: Refrigerate and Enjoy with Chips or Veggies
Place the hummus dip in the fridge and enjoy it with chips. I love these Good & Gather Sweet Potato Chips at Target. They are so delicious. They are perfect with this hummus dip too.
Easy Pumpkin Hummus
Ingredients
- 1 Can Chickpeas
- 1 Can Pumpkin
- 2 tbsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tbsp Cumin
- 1/2 tsp Sea Salt
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 tbsp Honey
Instructions
- Drain and cook one can of chickpeas.
- Add cooked chickpeas to the food processor.
- Add one can of pumpkin.
- Then, add two tablespoons of garlic powder.
- Next, add one tablespoon of cumin.
- Then, add half of a teaspoon of sea salt.
- Next, add one tablespoon of olive oil.
- Then, add two tablespoons of honey.
- Mix these ingredients together.
- Refrigerate the hummus and enjoy it with chips or veggies.
