These velvet items are simply stunning and are in stores now. After making red velvet ice cream sandwiches the other night, I was thinking about all of the beautiful velvet items that are in stores. With the velvet season coming up, I figured why not see what beautiful finds there are for not only your closet but for your home too. After some shopping, I found some classic items that you might just like too. This post is all about velvet items.
Fall in love with these items for your closet and your home. If I find some other items, I will add new pieces to this post as I shop this season. For now, I looked to my go-to stores, Kohl’s, Target, and Macy’s, to get some great purchases.
Be it the soft feel of the fabric or the fact that it just makes everything a little bit more elegant, I have always loved it. My sisters are completely obsessed with it as they have velvet couches and tons of velvet clothing. Their obsession rubbed off on me, and now I am always searching for more of it to use in my home and in my outfits in the fall and the winter.
A few years ago, the Gap had a gorgeous velvet jumpsuit I found on sale. It was super comfortable and so pretty.

So you may wonder what is the fabric actually made of? Well, today it is usually made from synthetic and natural fibers, but it was originally made from silk. Pure silk velvet is rare today, as it’s extremely expensive.
Nevertheless, the fabrics of these great finds are not pure silk.

This is another beautiful floor pillow that is on sale at Target. I just love this oversized pillow, and it looks great with this rug in the playroom too. Of course, the girls were jumping on it and over it, so it was hard to actually photograph it.

Holiday Printed Throw
If you are looking to add a little holiday decor, Macy’s has some really amazing home items. I love this holiday throw in the fa la la print. Yes, it might seem cheesy, but it is subtle enough that it isn’t obnoxious. I do think about those things as my husband is always making fun of me for my signs like “Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice.” 🙂

This Koolaburra by Ugg comforter set is heavenly. It is super soft and will definitely keep you warm. My husband and daughters love this set, and they just think it is so warm and cozy. The set includes the comforter and two shams.

This gorgeous scarlet dress is on sale at Macy’s. Perhaps, you are looking for a great holiday dress, well this is it then. For a flattering look, I love the look of a wrap-around, but I hate having to make sure it stays put. This is a faux wrap-dress, and it really just zips up. Is that perfect or what?

Additionally, pair the dress with this shrug found at Macy’s. It is very comfortable. Plus, you could wear this to dress up any outfit.
