These super easy lemon bars are a tangy sweet treat to love. If you love lemon bars as much as my family, then this recipe is for you. The powdered sugar-covered bar is a mix between a lemon bundt and a lemon cookie all in one. This post is all about super easy lemon bars.
If you love lemon or just a sweet tangy dessert, you’ll love these bars. They are moist and delicious. With just two simple ingredients, you can make these bars and top them with sugar in no time. I like to stick mine in the fridge before serving so that they are a little chilled.
Honestly, I could probably just spoon the lemon filling in straight from the can, but this recipe gives me a reason to avoid doing that.

Super Easy Lemon Bars
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
First, preheat the oven to 350°.
Step 2: Start with the Cake Mix
Then, start with a yellow cake mix. If you have a white cake mix that would work too. Originally, I was going to use the lemon cake mix I use in the bundt recipe, but I thought that might just be too much lemon.
Step 3: Add the Lemon Pie Filling
Next, add the lemon pie filling. You can find it at Walmart normally.
Step 4: Mix
Then, mix it all together. I just used a wooden spoon for this step. The batter gets very thick, so don’t worry when that happens.
Step 5: Spray the Pan
Then, spray a 9×13 baking dish with cooking spray.
Step 6: Pour Batter & Bake
Next, pour the batter and put it in the oven for 25 minutes.
Step 7: Cover in Powdered Sugar
Let it cool for ten minutes, and then, cover the bars in powdered sugar. I used a half cup of powdered sugar in the sifter.
