Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Start this recipe off by preheating the oven to 350°.
Step 2: Mash the Bananas
Then, mash three bananas. I just used a larger fork to mash the bananas, and it worked out well. If you have really ripe bananas, they are so much easier to mash.
For another way to use your overripe bananas, check out this yogurt fruit pop recipe too.
Step 3: Add the Peanut Butter
Then, add in a cup of peanut butter. From making these breakfast bars each week, I have to purchase the large peanut butter containers. Who doesn’t love a little peanut butter?
Of course, if you or a loved one has nut allergies, you can use a nut-free substitute too. They will taste just as delicious.

Step 4: Mix It Up
Then, mix those two ingredients together. Also, do not worry if there are lumps in the mix. It is nearly impossible to make these ingredients blend together perfectly.
Step 5: Add the Oatmeal
Once you have the peanut butter and bananas mixed, add in three cups of quick oats.

Step 6: Add the Raspberries
Then, add in one cup of fresh raspberries. They make the bars taste so moist and delicious. Plus, they give them that beautiful presentation at the end.
Step 7: Add the White Chocolate Chips
Next, add one cup of white chocolate chips to the mix. If you aren’t a fan of white chocolate, you can always just substitute these for milk chocolate chips too.

Step 8: Sprinkle the Chia Seeds
Then, add in three tablespoons of chia seeds.
Of course, we aren’t mixing these chia seeds with water, but we are creating a hearty breakfast bar that will keep you fuller longer.
So, yes, go ahead and just add them in. They will counter the chocolate chips. 🙂
Step 9: Mix It All
Next, you can mix all of the ingredients together. Since this batter is rather heavy, just use a wooden spoon to make the process easier.

Step 10: Spray Baking Pan
Then, be sure to spray your 9×13 baking pan. This way, you can easily take the breakfast bars out to prep them for the mornings.
Step 11: Bake The Bars
Finally, bake these bars for about twenty-eight minutes. Just keep an eye on them as some prefer them to be crispier than others. For me, 28 minutes is long enough as my toddler likes them to be a little bit chewy.
