Pine Sol Shower Cleaner
When I made this cleaner, I thought about what is something that is packed with power and smells great too? I wanted to make sure that I could kill germs in the shower, but at the same time, be able to stand the smell of the cleaner every single day. This is how the cleaner recipe came together.
Step 1: Gather Your Materials
Prior to mixing this cleaning solution, check your cupboards for some of these items. I am sure you have a bottle of rubbing alcohol and an empty spray bottle somewhere in your home.
First, you’ll need a bottle of Pine Sol. You can use any scent you prefer. I just love the original scent. It just gives me happy memories of a clean home. What’s not to love about that?
Then, a bottle of rubbing alcohol. You can use any brand. I just went with the Up&Up one. If you don’t have one in your home, it is always good to grab a bottle for your medicine cabinet.
Plus, a 32oz spray bottle for your DIY cleaning product. These spray bottles are always hard to find, but I lucked out with this cheap find at Target. Oh Target, you just have it all!
In addition to these items, you’ll need 24oz of water to add to the mix and a liquid measuring cup.
Once you’ve gathered these items, just follow the steps below and you will be on your way to one amazing shower cleaning spray.

Pine Sol Shower Cleaner
Step 2: The Pine Sol
Add four ounces of Pine Sol into your spray bottle.
I selected Pine Sol because not only does it smell great, but it really does kill several types of germs.
Pine Sol was invented in 1929, and really not much has changed about the product since then. It is true to its original formula and now comes in other scents. For my DIY shower cleaner mix, I used the original scent. Of course, the others would work as well. The product comes in lemon fresh, lavender clean, and sparkling wave. There might be others floating around on the shelves, but these are the most common scents.
Can You Use Pine Sol to Clean Shower?
Yes, it definitely will work to eliminate germs in your shower. Even though, you may clean your bathroom weekly, it doesn’t hurt to use this Pine Sol spray to keep up with the shampoo and body wash that gets swished around in your shower. By spritzing this DIY cleaning product around your tub, you are ensuring one clean surface!
Step 3: Rubbing Alcohol
Then, add four ounces of rubbing alcohol into the spray bottle.
Even though Pine Sol is an effective cleaner on its own, this rubbing alcohol adds another layer of bacteria-fighting power.

Step 4: Water
Then, add in 24 ounces of water. By adding in the water, you can spray this daily shower cleaner each day.
Step 5: Shake It Up & Spray Away
After you have all three parts in the bottle, just shake it up, and it is ready to go. This is now the cleaner of your dreams. Well, at least, it is the cleaner that is going to kill the germs and smell quite amazing!

Do Daily Shower Cleaners Work?
Using a daily shower cleaner definitely prevents the buildup of mold and mildew over time. Plus, if you use this particular cleaning product, you are guaranteed to eliminate 99.9% of germs effectively.
Of course, if you miss a day or two, don’t sweat it. You always have your next shower to worry about that.
Nonetheless, your shower is a place where you go to clean off the day or start the morning. It might as well be clean and fresh daily.
