Peach cobbler using cake mix is quite the classic hit. Be it for brunch, a dessert, or just for a sweet snack, this cobbler is delicious. I love using a cake mix to create tasty desserts, and this cake mix recipe is just that. Have this in the oven in less than ten minutes, and enjoy it hot with vanilla ice cream or a little whipped cream. This post is all about a peach cobbler using cake mix.
After many readers loved this canned peach cake recipe and took their own take on it as well, someone asked me to make a cobbler recipe. With so many great peach cobbler recipes out there, I thought about how to make this as easy as possible. It’s no surprise that I went back to the go-to cake mix cobbler recipe I love. If a recipe can include a cake mix, I am all about it. That little box of ingredients is so easy to use and always tastes delicious.
My favorite fruit is probably a fresh peach from the farmer’s market, and I love several sweet peach recipes. This is probably my husband’s absolute favorite, and my kids always ask for seconds of this cobbler.
There is just something amazing about peaches covered with cake mix and brown sugar!

Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Before you add the ingredients, preheat the oven to 350°.
Step 2: Spray the Dish
Before you add any ingredients, spray a 9×13 baking dish to start. This way nothing sticks to the dish, and you don’t have to waste any cobbler.

Step 3: Add Canned Peaches
Then, add a can of peaches in heavy syrup. I removed most of the syrup before putting them in the baking dish. It lessens the liquid this way.
Step 4: Add Peach Pie Filling
Then, add a can of peach pie filling to the baking dish.
Step 5: Top with Brown Sugar & Cinnamon
Next, sprinkle a half cup of brown sugar over the peaches. Then, sprinkle some cinnamon on top of that. This makes for quite a delicious combo.

Step 6: Add Yellow Cake Mix
Then, take a yellow cake mix and evenly distribute it over the other ingredients.
You could also use a vanilla or white cake mix for this as well.
It is pretty much a no fail recipe when it comes to selecting a cake mix to top it off.
Step 7: Top with Butter
Then, slice a stick of butter up and place the butter pads on the top of the cake mix. The butter melts through and makes the cake mix crust just perfectly. Afterwards, it will end up looking like cobblestones, which is exactly what you want.
This is a great dessert to take anywhere because it can’t ever look ugly. It is just a heavenly mix of sugar and fruit. No one will turn that down. Well, maybe a few people will, like my sister who hates fruit in anything.

Step 8: Bake the Peach Cobbler
Then, bake this cobbler for at least 50 minutes to ensure the perfect crusted top.
As you can see, it looks uneven and that is what you want. It will never look perfect, and this is the beauty of the cobbler.

If you only have canned peaches, you can just use two cans of them instead of the mix of pie filling and canned peaches. Also, you can use dark or light brown sugar. A vanilla or white cake mix is also a great way to top this cobbler too.
