Select this oreo bark recipe for a quick treat or a great gift for any holiday. There are very few people who don’t like Oreos, so stick with this recipe to ensure that all will love your creation. By making this two-ingredient recipe, you are basically guaranteeing that people are going to enjoy it. Plus, I really don’t know anyone who can just have one cookie. They will love it all, and you will love how simple this recipe is too. This post is all about an Oreo bark recipe.
So I have always used this Oreo bark recipe as my go-to for a quick sweet treat or a great DIY gift option too.
When I first started making this bark, I use to always incorporate candy canes or peppermint candies into the bark. Then after my family finally came clean about how much they hated all things peppermint, I had to quickly get rid of the peppermint, and it hasn’t resurfaced since.
I will always love peppermint bark, but when gifting, I have to be mindful that not all people love the taste. Hence, the Oreo bark recipe made its debut and has been a hit since the change.

Oreo Bark Recipe
Step 1: Gather the Ingredients
First, be sure to grab two bags of white chocolate baking chips and twenty Oreos. Of course, you can put some more Oreos on the side to eat during the process. Well, at least that’s what my daughter and I did while we made the bark.
Step 2: Chop the Oreos
Be sure to chop the Oreos first, so that you can throw them in as soon as the chocolate is ready to go.
For the chopping process, I have found that there are several ways to chop up the Oreos. The funny thing is that no matter what happens, chopping the Oreos doesn’t have to be a perfect process, and no matter what you do, you’ll have to clean up some crumbs here and there.
Anywho, I used a butcher knife and a wooden cutting board to make the process easier.
I have made these several different ways. In the end, I always like the oreo bark that has chunkier cookies. I just think it’s better. Of course, this process is up to you. You can cut finer pieces as well.
If you make extra chopped Oreos, throw them on top of ice cream or vanilla yogurt for a little treat.
Step 3: Melt Baking Chips
To start this process, you can use a larger pan so that the chips are not shoved on top of one another too high. This way you will evenly heat the chips and avoid burning any precious chocolate.
Okay, so this process is going to take at least ten minutes. To create the perfect creamy chocolate layer, you must be patient during the process, and keep the heat on low.
Also, be sure to constantly stir the baking chips so that they are not sticking to the pan at all. This isn’t going to be a difficult process if you are really watching the baking chips. So for this process, I could not make this bark when my crazy toddler was running around the house. 🙂
It is so hard to not just eat the chocolate as you are making it. It just looks and smells amazing!
Step 4: Prepare the Chocolate Layer
Once you have that cream consistency, pour the batter onto a larger baking sheet that is covered with parchment paper.
It is easier to spread the white chocolate with a spatula.
Step 5: Sprinkle Oreos & Press Them into the Chocolate
Next, take the chopped Oreos and evenly sprinkle them over the chocolate layer. Then push them into the chocolate so that they kind of get stuck there.
By pushing the Oreos into the chocolate, you are perfectly placing these little delicious cookies in the best position for delicious bark.
Once you have prepared the bark, let everything harden before breaking it up. To have this happen, just stick it in the fridge for about thirty minutes.
This photo below really shows you how the chunks of Oreos just look great and gives you that crunchy bark taste too.
Step 6: Select Your Sprinkles (Optional)
Then, if you would like to do so, toss some sprinkles over the top of the Oreos before it hardens.
I normally make these as gifts for the holidays. With just a little bit of red and green sprinkles, a party favor bag, and some beautiful ribbon, you have one wonderful holiday gift.
Also, my daughter loves the pink and purple sprinkles in her Oreo bark, so that had to happen too. I think that no matter what age you are, you never get sick of sprinkles. They just make things more fun!
