Easy Protein Oatmeal Bars
Jump to RecipeStep 1: The Oats
First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Then, add two and a half cups of quick oats to a large mixing bowl.

Step 2: The Protein Powder
Then, add a cup of protein powder. I used the Orgain Vanilla Protein Powder. These bars would be good with a chocolate or peanut butter-flavored protein powder as well.

Step 3: The Peanut Butter or Any Nut Butter
Next, slightly melt a cup of peanut butter or any type of nut butter that you prefer. I put the natural creamy peanut butter I used in the microwave for about thirty seconds.

Step 4: The Maple Syrup and Mix
Then, add half a cup of maple syrup, honey, or agave to the mixing bowl. Stir this mixture together.

Step 5: The Milk (Optional)
Depending on the texture of the batter, you can add a quarter to a half cup of milk. I used half a cup of unsweetened almond milk to make my mixture easier to stir. This isn’t necessary depending on the type of peanut butter or nut butter you use.
Since I used natural peanut butter, I needed the milk to soften the batter.

Step 6: Bake the Bars
Then, place the mixture in an 8×8 baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Bake for about 28-30 minutes. Cut bars as desired and enjoy.
You can always freeze the bars so that you can pop them into your bag on the way out the door.
