This DIY kids bath paint makes for endless tubby time fun. If your kids are little artists at heart, these quick steps will allow them to paint and truly enjoy bath time. Plus, this bath paint is a budget-friendly item. You can make these paints with just two fairly inexpensive items. This post is all about DIY kids bath paint.
For the last few holidays, the girls received tub paints, which go rather quickly. The tubes don’t last that long, and they are somewhat pricey. Instead of constantly purchasing this particular item, I thought I’d try this combination out, and see if they like them as much as the store-bought paints.
Well, the little concoction works and the kiddos love painting the tub walls and wiping them off with a washcloth. The process to make the paints is super simple, and your kids will love them.

DIY Kids Bath Paint
Step 1: The Shaving Cream
Since my kids are super allergic to most products, I used sensitive shaving cream for this tub paint. You can normally find it at most stores.
I also used these little bowls from Target to fill with shaving cream. They are easy to clean and perfect for the tub.
Step 2: The Food Coloring
Then, you will add 1-2 drops of food coloring to the shaving cream.
You can make any colors you like.
Step 3: Mix & Start Painting
Next, just swirl and mix the paint. You can just use a paintbrush to mix the paints. That way, the kids can use the brushes to paint the walls.
If you make too much, you can cover it with plastic wrap or a lid, and save it for the next bath too.
Making Bathtime Even Better
Now you can enjoy bathtime with the kiddos even more.
