DIY Holiday Wreath
Step 1: Gather Your Materials
For this easy craft, you’ll need a plain wreath, a scarf, and 3 safety pins.
As for the particulars of materials, I used this wreath that is a wood blend found at the Dollar Tree. It is just one dollar.
Then, I used a scarf that I already owned. It has green and red shades throughout it, which works perfectly for the holiday season.
If you don’t have a holiday scarf you like, see the scarves below to pick up a holiday option.
For those of you decluttering your closets, make sure to save the scarves that might look great as wreaths. You can now repurpose those items and gift them to friends and family too.
Step 2: Wrap The Scarf
Once you have your items, start by wrapping the scarf around the wreath. Be sure to smooth the material of the scarf so that it spreads evenly around the circle wreath.
Depending on the design of your scarf, you might want to have certain aspects of your pattern show more than others. Also, you might like to wrap two thinner scarves together as well.

Step 3: Secure the Front
Once you have completely covered the wreath, you’ll need to grab your safety pins. Using two safety pins, gather the extra material and secure it under the front tuck of the wreath.
Step 4: Secure the Back
Then, to be sure that the fabric doesn’t shift, place a safety pin where any extra material is behind the wreath.
A Beautiful Holiday Decor Item
Of course, this beautiful decor item can be changed and updated as you progress through the seasons.
For the spring season, you could transform your wreath to a pastel shade or a cream color scarf.
For the summer, you could use a floral wreath or even a beach-themed scarf.
The wreath possibilities are endless.
Please share your new creations and your crafting fun. I’d love to see your gorgeous wreaths.
