Thank goodness for this odor-eliminating combo. For the time being, I am using a minifridge until the other one is delivered. Since everything is smushed into the little fridge, I made sure to make this little concoction for it as well.
There’s nothing worse than odors taking over and ruining your tastes for other foods. Let me know if you like this DIY product as much as I do.

How Do You Deodorize a Fridge?
Most people would select baking soda as a go-to deodorizer for their fridge. For this particular DIY odor eliminator, there is just a slight twist to the normal box of Arm & Hammer.
Step 1: Gather Materials
Gather the materials for this DIY product. You’ll need a container with holes on top, an essential oil, and baking soda.
Yes, I did use a snack container for this DIY product. My toddler refuses to eat out of this cup, so might as well make the best of it.
It actually is perfect for a fridge freshener because of the slits in the lid. It’s a win win!
For other container ideas, you could clean out a parmesan cheese container or use a cheese shaker. For another idea, just use a small container and cover it with plastic wrap. Then, just poke some holes through the plastic.
Step 2: Add the Baking Soda
Then, add a cup of baking soda into your selected container.

Step 3: Add Essential Oil
Next, add in ten drops of EverSpring Citrus and Basil Essential Oil. By the way, this is a 100% natural essential oil blend. It really does smell so amazing! You’ll love it.
I love the combo of citrus and basil in the kitchen, and this oil has just enough of both scents.

Step 5: Place in Fridge
Finally, put the lid on top of the container, and place your fridge freshener in the refrigerator. Also, be sure to note when you placed it in the fridge, so that in two to three months, you can make a new batch.
How Long Will The DIY Fridge Freshener Last?
For this particular mixture, just make a new one every 2-3 months. Around the holidays, with a packed fridge, you may want to stick closer to the two-month turnaround due to the number of various foods that will be stored.

Now that you have created this amazing smelling product, enjoy opening your odorless fridge each day.
