Create this beautiful DIY Dollar Tree Fall Centerpiece easily with this step-by-step guide. Your home will instantly be ready for the season with this gorgeous fall decor display. Not only is it easy to make this centerpiece, but it is also a budget-friendly decor option as well. This post is all about a DIY Dollar Tree fall centerpiece.
If you think you are not that crafty or even if you are a skilled crafting expert, you are going to love how simple this centerpiece is to make. You could make one for yourself and make a few for gifts as well.
Not only is this easy to make, but it is a rather low-cost craft. As far as supplies go, you’ll need two candlestick holders, candles, a charger, a glass vase, potpourri, fall flowers, and a hot glue gun. They sell the supplies at the Dollar Tree except for the glue gun. The Dollar Tree sells packs of the glue though.
With the guide below, you’ll be able to enjoy your craft in no time.

How Do You Make a Dollar Tree Centerpiece?
Step 1: Purchase or Paint Gold Candlestick Holders
To start off your crafting experience, select two gold candlesticks or paint a set that you already have. My mom had two old candlesticks that we painted gold.
In another post, I talk about painting items you may otherwise get rid of or just stuff in closets. By painting these two candlesticks, we didn’t waste the sticks, and we didn’t just keep them stuffed in a closet.
Anyhow, if you have gold candlesticks, this is not your problem. You can just use those for the centerpiece.
Below you can see that you only need the gold paint, a paintbrush, and the candlesticks. I already had this Martha Stewart paint, but you could buy gold paint at your local hardware store. Your dollar store may even carry gold paint as well.
For this process, I had to cover the candlesticks with two coats of paint, as there was already a pattern of the set. It is always harder to cover a pattern with this type of paint. If you have gold spray paint that would probably work even better.
As I am not the painting expert you may be, the candlestick kind of came out looking a little worn or vintage. It works for the decor style, but if you like a more finished look, you could also try a higher quality paint for the candlestick holders as well.
Step 2: Prepare Your Flowers
Next, take the stems off of all of your flowers. You are going to hot glue these flowers onto a charger. So it is easier to prepare the flowers you think you’ll use.
To take off the stems, just pull them apart. They should just pop right off. If you are having trouble doing so, just use wire cutters to remove the stems.

Step 3: Plan Your Floral Arrangement
Now that you removed the stems, you can place your flowers around the charger. Then, just simply slide them off of the sides to keep the pattern prepared. This way all you need to do is use your hot glue gun to put them all in their permanent place.
Step 4: Glue Flowers
Then, start the hot gluing process. You’d be surprised at how much glue you’ll use, so just make sure you have enough glue sticks before you begin. Also, try to glue the centers of the flowers.
You’ll have to use your own judgment as far as gluing the flowers to the charger or not. For some flowers, I did glue some petals if they were sticking up too high. You’ll know what I mean when you start this gluing process.
As you go along with the gluing process, it might get a bit messy. Not to worry, the stray glue strands are easily removable, and they will not mess up your beautiful fall floral arrangement.

Step 5: Admire Your Arrangement
Once you glued all the flowers, you can sit back and enjoy your arrangement for a moment. Also, you may change something or add more flowers as well.
Step 6: Gather Your Materials
Once you have your gold candlestick holders and your floral arrangement on the charger, then you can move onto the final setup. You’ll need a glass vase, potpourri, and candles. The vase, potpourri, and candles are all from the Dollar Tree.

Step 7: Add the Potpourri
Add the potpourri to the glass vase. I selected one that had some yellow and darker fall shades in it. Plus, it smelled amazing.
Step 8: Light Your Candlesticks
Finally, light your candlesticks and enjoy.
