This DIY bunny craft is so easy to make. You can gather all of the materials from the Dollar Tree and this is a great DIY gift idea too. Make these bunnies for friends and family members. They will be sure to display your bunny craft every year. This post is all about a DIY bunny craft.
Who doesn’t love a holiday craft? My daughters look forward to the holidays for the crafts, so it is not optional to have something to make for each event.
These bunnies are a simple craft that the kids love to style and decorate for the Easter holiday. Plus, you can never have too many bunnies. You could make this craft every year, and just put one in each room or on the window sills as your collection grows.
What I really like about this craft is that it is a budget friendly idea too. So if you wanted to have a bunny making get together, it wouldn’t cost you a fortune.
Let the bunny fun begin!

DIY Bunny Craft
Step 1: Gather the Supplies
First, you will need to gather the supplies for the craft project. You can gather all items at the Dollar Tree except for the glue gun. Make sure to grab two bags of long grain rice, rubberbands (mine photographed are from Rite Aid), two different ribbon patterns, twine, stickers for the nose, googly eyes, and long socks (at least two pairs), scissors, glue, and a glue gun.
Step 2: Fill the Sock
For the project, you will be able to make at least four bunnies with this amount of rice. Fill the sock with the rice. This can be a two person ordeal so that you don’t spill. If you have a funnel, that will be a huge help. Also, you can place the sock in a glass to spread it out to dump the rice.
Step 3: The Rubberbands
Once you have the sock a little over half way full, you can tie a rubberband in the middle and then at the top.
Step 4: The Ears
Then, place the bunny on its side, and cut the sock in half to make the ears.
Step 5: The Facial Features & Bows
Then, you can create your bunny look. You can use a glue gun for the eyes. Then, apply glue to the middle of the face, and add two or three pieces of twine. Top the twine with a different colored nose sticker. You’ll want to glue the sticker too. Then, add in bows. You can just tie the one around the neck and glue the one on the bunny’s head. They look so cute!
