As someone who is always trying to find products that are going to simplify my life, I can easily fall in love with a dual-purpose product. Some may say I am a sucker for a product that can multitask.
This past week we were at the beach, and after a week of being in another kitchen, I found some really useful items. I particularly liked the coffeepot in the kitchen. It was a coffeepot that has a Keurig side and a coffee pot side. What an amazing space-saving appliance!
The one at the house was the Keurig K-Duo Single-Serve & Carafe Coffee Maker. I loved the idea of a side-by-side coffee maker, but this one seemed too difficult to clean. Plus, the reviews were not so promising. The coffee was great, but it didn’t seem like this appliance was going to last very long.
So when I got home, I researched and researched, and I had a 30% off coupon at one of my favorite stores, Kohl’s! After reading and debating, I happily purchased the Cuisinart Coffee Center. Because I love all products made by Cuisinart, I also felt that it was a higher quality appliance.

Is Cuisinart a Good Coffee Maker?
With the brand name Cuisinart, it would be hard to argue that this isn’t a good coffee maker. After purchasing several items by Cuisinart, I would say that I really trust the brand, and I feel they make reliable appliances. I love my air fryer and food processor by Cuisinart too.
Can Cuisinart Use K Cups?
The Cuisinart Coffee Center works perfectly with the K-Cup Pods. I would never trade my K-Cups in for anything, but I was a little hesitant to see if they would work in the Cuisinart coffee maker. When I brought it home, I tried out the K-Cup side first. It worked just like a Keurig single-serve coffee maker.
Also, I tried a non-coffee K-Cup Pod, and that worked well too. It was the Swiss Miss Milk Chocolate Keurig K-Cup Pods. They are delicious! For a sweet addition, I like to put a little whipped cream on top.
Is Cuisinart Better Than Keurig?
So this is a tough question because I really do like both brands. For this style with the carafe and the single-serve brewer combo, I would go with the Cuisinart. The product just appears to be made better, and it is by far easier to clean.
Does a Cuisinart Coffee Maker Need a Filter?

Cuisinart Single Serve Features
The single-serve side of the coffee center allows you to make a 6, 8, or 10-ounce cup of coffee, which is great for those who love stronger coffee. Also, the single-serve section fits a travel mug underneath it so that you can make a quick cup and go.
Also, the water reservoir is forty ounces, and it is removable. I love the little handle that comes with it too. It is easy to fill and makes for a mess-free transfer.
Cuisinart Carafe Brewer Features
The carafe makes up to twelve cups of coffee and has a great stronger coffee flavor button too. The carafe side allows for an automatic brew start, a brew-pause, self-clean, and a ready alert too. So basically this carafe brewer has all the features of an independent coffee maker.
Additionally, this brewer comes with a gold-tone reusable coffee filter which is ideal.
