Start the process by preheating the oven to 400. Then, slice the squash in half. If it is tender enough, you can easily slice it in half. If it is more difficult, try cutting one end off to flatten a side. Then, slowly cut the squash in half starting at the top.
Step 2: Remove the Seeds
Next, remove all of the seeds from the squash. There are several inside of just one squash. You can bake and eat the seeds if you would like to do so. You can season them and enjoy them as a healthy snack.
Step 3: Lightly Cover in Olive Oil & Salt
Then, lightly cover the squash in olive oil and salt. You can spray olive oil on, drizzle it, or brush it on. I always go a little overboard with the olive oil, but your best bet is to spray it.
You can use either pink or white salt to flavor it. Either option is delicious.
Step 4: Place on Sheet & Poke with Fork
Then, place the squash face down, and poke the surface with a fork several times. This way the squash bakes evenly for the perfect spaghetti texture.
Step 5: Bake & Scrape the Spaghetti Strands
Bake the squash for 40 minutes. Flip it over and then using a fork, scrape the strands of the spaghetti squash. This process is easy, and you won’t believe how much it looks exactly like noodles.

- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Cut the spaghetti squash in half. Remove the seeds. Cover a baking sheet in foil. Be sure to cover the tray in cooking spray. Drizzle olive oil and sprinkle salt to cover the squash. Flip the squash over, and poke the entire surface with a fork. Bake the squash for 40 minutes. Flip the squash over and scrape the strands. Serve as is or incorporate the spaghetti into your favorite noodle recipe.

The classic way to serve spaghetti squash is with sauce and meatballs. For this go-to meal, I normally just go meatless and serve the squash with red sauce, plant-based meatballs, and plant-based cheese.
