This avocado hummus recipe is so delicious and pairs well with chips or veggies. I love hummus and avocados, so I figured I’d toss the two together. My kids normally love red pepper hummus, so I thought they might like this recipe too. With a quick toss of ingredients into the food processor, you can whip this hummus up quickly. At the grocery store this last week, they were out of our favorite hummus, so
I decided to make this recipe. My husband loved it and so did the kiddos. It was a mix of our favorite dip with a twist of guacomole too.
You could use this recipe for a dip or a topping on sandwiches or even tacos. Serve it at your next party and it will be gone in no time.

Avocado Hummus Recipe
Jump to RecipeStep 1: The Chickpeas
First, rinse and drain two cans of garbanzo beans. That’s about 30 ounces of beans. I love the Good & Gather ones.
Step 2: The Avocado
Then, add two avocados. I used this device to safely cut the avocados and remove the pit. When I first started making guacamole, I cut my finger pretty badly opening an avocado, so since then I’ve always used the avocado cutter.
Step 3: The Garlic
Next, add a tablespoon of garlic. You could use garlic powder, fresh garlic, or minced garlic. Any combination will work with this recipe.
Step 4: The Cilantro
Then, add two tablespoons of cilantro.
Step 5: Lime Juice
Then, add a quarter cup of lime juice. I just used the bottled lime juice, but freshly squeezed would be even better.
Step 6: The Olive Oil
Then, add a half cup of olive oil into the food processor.
Step 7: Mix and Enjoy
Then, hit blend and you are soon ready to enjoy your hummus.
