Are toys taking over your house? Are you running out of storage ideas? If you feel overwhelmed and are out of space, use these simple solutions for the best toy storage.
With the quick accumulation of toys, I understand how this can be hard to manage. Each birthday, each holiday, for no reason at all really, my daughters are constantly receiving toys, which of course, are greatly appreciated.
Nonetheless, I do donate toys a few times a year, but for the most part, my girls love to play with all of their toys. So it is definitely hard to part ways with all of their lovely items.
So I have had to brainstorm and figure out how I can maintain some order to the toy pile.
Through these seven ways to utilize all types of free space in your home, you will also be able to find a spot for every doll, Lego, train set, remote control truck, Barbie, block set, book collection, and more.

I know that my mother never trusted me to be alone with markers or scissors – and for good reason. My sister did end up cutting her own hair once. It happens, but with shelves up high enough, it can be less likely.
Solution 2: Look to the Ceiling
Remember those little hooks that you could use for hanging plants inside the house? Those are actually amazing hooks for toy storage.
You can use hanging baskets, floating closet shelves, and other storage items to hook from that old school hardware.
I love this beautiful swing shelf Aunt Margie bought my girls. It is dainty and it helps out in holding a few stuffed animals too.
Also, you can use nets that hook to the ceiling to store stuffed animals. Of course, for the sake of avoiding loneliness, make sure you rotate your stuffed animals so that the kids can play with them all.

Solution 4: Underneath It All
Utilize the space under their beds, the couch, and other furniture that has some space to work with. You can use rolling storage bins or any shorter size bins out there.

With books, I have found that after Sadie turned two, I really use the library more and more to borrow books.
Not only do books add up but they take up a ton of space, so sign up for a card at your local library and borrow books more than you buy them.
Of course, there will always be books like Dragons Love Tacos and Uni the Unicorn that can’t just be borrowed.
