These four bathroom cleaners will work with you and will keep your bathroom smelling clean at all times.
Currently, it isn’t always easy to find everything that you need for your household. Supplies are sold out – especially cleaning supplies. With the demand, sometimes you must adjust or stray from your normal go-to bathroom cleaning products.
Hopefully, with the recent shortages, you can still make sure to have these 4 types of products at home at all times.
These four items will serve as your go-to bathroom cleaners.
Yes, they may not be in the scent you want or the brand that you prefer, but they will definitely make your bathroom sparkle, shine, and smell just fine!
Table of Contents
Cleaner 1: Aerosol
Aerosol Disinfectant – A great way to stop the spread of germs and to eliminate those not so pleasant odors is to ensure that you always have an aerosol disinfectant on hand. I have one in both bathrooms at all times.
Not only do they kick the funk, but they are also handy when you need to use them in other close by areas of the house. For instance, when I change bedding (that not so fun chore), it is nice to spray the aerosol on the mattress and the pillows each time. I also like to do a quick spray on the rugs and the girls’ toys and lovies. It is also handy to use on the couch and seat cushions.
Since the pandemic started, I even spray it on and around shoes. I prefer to use the Lysol Brand in Crisp Linen, but again any spray that disinfects will do.
Cleaner 2: Bleach
Bleach Spray – I remember when I moved into my first place saying, “WOW, do I need bleach for this!”
Bleach is a must-have in a bathroom because let’s be honest there is no other way to clean the disgusting dirt and bacteria that are in and around a toilet.
A bleach cleaner is the only way to make sure that you are actually killing the germs. My go-to bleach spray would have to be the Clorox Clean-Up Cleaner Spray with Bleach. I not only use this spray on the toilets, but also in the tub/shower area. It is a must as a bathroom cleaner.
Cleaner 3: Glass Cleaner
Glass Cleaner – Mirrors! I absolutely can’t stand looking up from spitting into the sink, and realizing the toothpaste is now stuck to the mirror. It is just gross! I must wipe down my mirrors constantly.
With a four-year-old and a hubs who struggles to aim at the sink, my mirrors are constantly getting the quick wipe down.
My go-to glass cleaner preference is made by Method. It is called Method Glass Cleaner + Surface Cleaner. The minty fresh smell just reminds you of what a mirror – no wait – a bathroom should smell like!

Cleaner 4: All-Around Cleaner
Multi-Surface Cleaner – The last few items that you must clean in the bathroom are the surfaces and the floor.
Not only do you want to make sure that these areas are clean, but you also don’t want to ruin your favorite rug or your clothes by using bleach cleaners in high trafficked areas of the bathroom.
I absolutely love the smell of lavender and I highly recommend Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Multi-Surface Everyday Cleaner, Cruelty-Free Formula, Lavender Scent.
This spray can be handy in several places in the home, but it is extra pleasant as a bathroom cleaner as well.
To guarantee you never run out, buy the solution as well. Your home will smell amazing and your guests will be comforted by the sweet smell.
